Transforming Agri Commodity & Peanut Processing Operations at Khedut Feeds with Odoo ERP

Client Background

The client is one of India’s foremost growers and processors of premium quality peanuts. Specializing in products such as blanched peanuts, bold peanuts, and other peanut variants, they serve both domestic and international markets with high food safety standards. Known for their rigorous quality benchmarks and modern production facilities, they have a strong presence across the peanut processing and agri commodity value chain.

Problem Statement

Despite being a leader in agri-commodity processing, the client was stuck in the maze of Excel sheets and manual coordination. Vendor approvals, production tracking, inventory management, and export documentation were all managed through fragmented tools-leading to:

  • Missed follow-ups and delayed decisions
  • No real-time stock visibility across warehouses
  • Errors in manual documentation and compliance risk
  • Difficulty managing packaging, lot tracking, and stage-wise production
  • Scattered financial records without vendor or customer account insights

What they needed wasn’t just an ERP-it was a digital backbone to connect every stakeholder, process, and transaction from field to foreign trade.

Implementation

Setu Consulting Services implemented a customized Odoo ERP solution tailored to the agri commodity processing industry. The project followed a phased implementation model with detailed planning, configuration, training, UAT, and go-live support.

Key Project Highlights:

  • Single-platform integration of Vendor Management, Production, Sales, Export Documentation, and Inventory Control
  • Custom development for Broker Purchase Flow, Export Document Generator, and Currency Forward Booking Manager
  • End-user training for portal users (vendors/brokers) and internal teams
  • Real-time gate entry, QC, and production tracking using barcode integration

Conclusion

Great stories have a personality. Consider telling a great story that provides personality. Writing a story with personality for potential clients will assist with making a relationship

connection. This shows up in small quirks like word choices or phrases. Write from your point of view, not from someone else's experience.

Great stories are for everyone even when only written for just one person. If you try to write with a wide, general audience in mind, your story will sound fake and lack emotion. No one will be interested. Write for one person. If it’s genuine for the one, it’s genuine for the rest.

  • 30% reduction in procurement and vendor coordination efforts
  • Improved traceability with batch-wise packaging and barcode control
  • Zero non-compliance incidents with GST and export regulations
